Birds of a Feather...

Over the last few years, I picked up the nickname "Lil Bird," because of my "bird-like tendencies." Since I've been given this name, I began collecting all things bird related. Here are a few items I would like to add to my ever growing collection.

RoseAndRaven Little Gold Bird and Branch Necklace $27.50 on Etsy

Bird Knobs set of 4 $21 on Etsy

Retro Bike and Colorful Birds Print on Antique Book Pages 6.90 on Etsy
(seriously, these are my FAVES...these would look great framed)

Distressed Metal Birds-Gift from my Mom

Party Bird-Made from salvaged wood and vintage fabric-also gift from my Mom

I know I didn't give much info on those last two, but I had to put them up because they are some of my favorites that I already own. I mean, how good would the necklace, knobs, and print look with my metal birds and the Party Bird, right?

And We're Back...

Hey Ya'll,

After a long hiatus, (work, life, and laziness just really got in the way...sorry) I think we might just try this again! What better way to begin (again) than with a list of things I want right now, right? Besides wanting Gaga to stop being a meaningless weirdo and to go back to her beautiful, meaningful weirdo, I am lusting for these (and I don't know about ya'll, but some cooler weather would be really nice too)...

Toms University Rope Sole Classics in Ash

Calypso St.Bart for Target $11.89 (what a steal!)

J Crew Summer Sun Hat $45

J Crew Ikat Bikini $98

Abigail Tunic Cover up by Splendid $97

ME Day!

A VERY special day is on the way...every February 14th I celebrate a holiday called "Me Day." For as long as I can remember, I get presents on Me Day. This year, I want these:

Miu Miu Satin Platforms

And if you can't find those, then these will do:

Miu Miu Satin Platforms

Good luck finding them...if you do, then I'll birth your first born...and if you know me, you know that is something I am not willing to do. Happy searching!

Grammy Let Dooooown!

Today is a disappointing day. Last night I watched the 2010 Grammy Awards and the high point of the night was the opening performance with Gagaloo and Sir Elton John. It was one of the best openings the Grammy's have ever had. Seriously. Everything went downhill from there, however, Gaga only won 2 awards and they were both pre-show. Beyonce and Taylor Swift swept the house. Did Beyonce not already win for 'Single Ladies?' I just thought we celebrated that song forevs ago and it was DONE. Taylor Swift is a total pity win. Kanye was the best thing that ever happened to her. She may write songs and play guitar and tell her little silly stories about high school romance, but she can't sing. Sorry. Alright, enough anger. Let's talk FASHION!

Best Dressed
Lady Gaga, Custom Made Armani Prive

Rihanna, Elie Saab Couture

Lea Michele, Romana Keveza

These are my ABSOLUTE FAVES! All of them look fantastic in their own way. Three totally different looks, but they all rock them, for realz.

So, I am not going to do "Worst Dressed." As a Gaga fan, I think people should wear what they want to wear and what they feel comfortable in. What gives me the right to say someone looks horrible? However, I will say that I was really excited to see Brit there...her hair and makeup was beautiful, but the dress didn't do much for her hoTT figure right now. It was Dolce and Gabanna (which seems to be a favorite of hers). It was an interesting bodysuit with a shear dress over...it cut her into about five pieces and made her look stubby (it was better than that year she wore the entire denim ensemble...but because Justin was on her arm, we could forgive that). She just needs some direction! I WANT TO HELP HER!! Who wants to go across the country and take part in my documentary film "Saving Britney?" I will not post a picture of her ensemble, out of respect for her, her children, Justin, her fans, and me. I also don't want to give Jessica Biel anything to rejoice about.

So, until next year...

Chanel is a Copycat?!

Uncle Karl must love Gaga as much as me...or anyone else with common sense and taste in music...or appreciates creativity and originality...ok, sorry...you get it. Gaga is so beautiful and inspiring. Without getting teary, let me just say that she is an amazing human being and she makes me feel better about being a FREAK. I wish I knew her when I was young. I think I would have been more confident and comfortable in my skin. She doesn't give a FUCK what people think and we can all learn from her.

Mix N Match!

I LOVE prints! I always have, and I always will. I am way more likely to drop some cash on a print over a solid and now I have even more reason to! I used to not be able to mix. When I was little, I was really concerned with things matching (thanks, Mommy!) but now I realize that things don't always have to MATCH. Mixing prints is always hot, if it's done the right way, but this Spring 2010 it is going to be hoTT (yes, with 2 T's). I just LOVES it.

Spring...Where are you?

After the holidaze, I am just about done with winter and wearing coats and layer after layer, but it only seems to get COLDER! My favorite stores start giving me a sneak peek at spring clothes and I can't help but want to run straight to the spray tan booth and start my swimsuit shopping (ok, maybe not that far, but I am def ready to start planning my spring wardrobe and working some of those items into this colder than usual winter).

I will most likely start with accessories for a number of reasons, the first being that I can break some of those out right now in these frigid temps! Here is my transition into Spring 2010 Wish List:

Arabesque Pop Scarf $78

Wayfarer Skinnies $129 (because you can never have too many, right?)

Juicy Cuff $148

Oxford Flats $130

Short, but sweet...for now.
